PUBLIC NOTICE State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan Program Categorical Exclusion (CE): Town of Sellersburg - Sunflower Valley, Clark County, Silver Creek Township, PER: Water Distribution System Improvements; SRF Project DW 25 44 10 01 To all interested parties: this is notification that the Town of Sellersburg Sunflower Valley Water Distribution System Improvements project is categorically excluded from substantive environmental review. The SRF is submitting the CE for public notice. The existing water distribution is aging, pieces of which that are past their useful life. Additionally, the Sunflower Valley Water Company is not looped into the Town of Sellersburg and there is a dead end within the system. A dead end can be a source of loss of pressure as well as an increase of sedimentation buildup. Leaks within the system are also suspected and there is a lack of redundancy. The proposed project includes replacing the existing Sunflower Valley water distribution system in its entirety and regionalizing with Sellersburg. Water mains, with minimum pipe size of 6, will be replaced as well as meters and valves throughout the distribution system. Total cost of this project is estimated to be approximately $2,400,000. The Town intends to finance the project with a loan from the Drinking Water SRF Loan Program for a term and annual fixed interest rate to be determined at loan closing. Monthly user rates and charges may need to be analyzed to determine if adjustments are required for loan repayment. The documentation supporting this CE is available at www.srf.in.gov.
